Rankin Inlet will be hosting the inaugural Kivalliq Inuit Doll Festival Exhibition & Story Telling Traditions. September 8th – 15th, 2007 coinciding with the Kivalliq Arts & Crafts Festival September 11th – 13th, 2007.
Each Hamlet will send three artists and Tarralikitaaq Arts will send two doll makers from each community.
A schedule of events will soon be available. There will be various workshops for participants to choose from.
The opening ceremony will be on the 8th of September (and we hope to have media coverage).
